Avon Products Inc. has announced that it is recalling nearly 520,000 eyelash curlers sold in the U.S. and Canada due to the risk for eye injury.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said Tuesday that the ergonomic eyelash curler could break, exposing a metal pin, which could then hurt the user.

Avon has received 24 reports of the eyelash curler breaking, more than half which specify an injury. Consumers should stop using the product and contact Avon for a refund or another mascara.

The curlers were sold from 2007 to 2014 for about $5. The model number F3093441 can be found on the product’s box.
